Special Gift

This Saturday we went to Chesapeake, VA to meet with my friend Jennifer. She and I became friends in Roanoke years ago (back when I was working in PCC and before even Zeke was born). We have stayed in touch through out the years and have even seen each other a couple of times since we both moved away from Roanoke. She now has two very handsome boys and her husband is a pastor in a presbyterian church in NC. Her baby Broeck is 5 months and her oldest son Addison in 5 years old. We stopped at a Wendy's and met them (since they were passing thru the area). We had lunch and talked and the kids had a good time together. We promised to see each other again soon. We live about 4 hours apart and it has been about 2 years since we have seen each other. It was a great time and such a blessing to see her. It is not often that God brings into your life a friend that will stay your friends through out the years and the distance. One that you can not see each other for years and then catch up like you saw each other yersterday. One you can share your ups and downs and will cry, laugh and pray with you. I am thankful for this special gift that God has given me--- FRIENDS. Some good Godly friends that I can count on no matter what-- so Crissy, Annie, Coppe, Brendis and Jennifer, I hope that you know today that I am thankful for you all and I pray for you and think of you daily. I am looking forward to the say in heaven when we can be together with Him to laugh and chit chat and worship together. In the meantime I am thankful for the chance and privilige to call you friends on this earth. Whether I see you everyday or talk to you once a year... you are always my true friends and sisters in Christ.

Thank you Carmen. We love you, and hopefully we can work it out to get together soon.
