Summer 2008- It is flying by....

We are now midway through the summer and it has been fun but it is going by too fast.
Let me give a quick summary:
June- school ended and we finished unpacking (for the most part) in the upstairs of the new house and we went to Roanoke for a quick trip.
July- Patricia, Carlos and Adrianna came and we had a blast. We had a week of fun in Virginia.
The best part was the wolf creek lodge in Williamsburg. Ive has governor's school (and she took a 2 week course in occeanography) with other gifted studets the region. Samantha and Zeke had
day camp at the YMCA and swimming lessons. Jake hurt his back at work and is out of commision until the doctor okeys him to go to work.
We have some fun things planned for August but our plans are on hold until we know about Jake's back. We also had alot of updates to do on the house which again are on hold until we know about his back. The closets in the house has been started and the painting has been started but it is going slower since Jake got injured. We know it will all happen in God's time and I am a lot more concerned about Jake's health than the house.
In the next couple of weeks we will enjoy summer. I am still not ready for summer to end but I find myself making plans for the fall. I bought some teaching books that will help me next year with some of the skills I will be working on with my students.
We have signed up the kids from football (zeke) and soccer (the girls). I think that it will be a fun time but it doesnt start until the fall.
It is all going by too fast....
