Jake is officially a game warden. He was sworn in on Thursday March 16, 2006. I am so proud of him! It was a very nice ceremony and it was definitely a momentous occassion. Jake's parents and his brother Luke came from Roanoke to see the ceremony. We have been working and sacrificing waiting for this for about a year and now it is here.
On to other news, for those of you that do not know Ivelisse got glasses about a month ago. It was quite a shock for everyone since we had her eyes checked in the fall and she was 20/20 and when we had them checked again here in Emporia it had deteriorated significantly. She is very happy with her glasses and she was shocked at how clear everything looks now.
It sure has been a time of changes and adjustment but hopefully things will settle down. We just started t-ball (Zeke and Samantha) and softball (Ive). We are all getting used to a new school and a new town but all in all I think we are all pretty happy. The important thing is that for the first time in months we can be together!
