8th Anniversary!

Today is Jake and I's 8th wedding anniversary. What a wonderfully strange trip it has been! I often think of how or life has changed. I am often amazed at how our life is different from what I thought it would be at this point. Some things are very much like I thought that they would be but other things are very different from what I expected. If there is one thing that amazed me is how much change has been a constant in our life. Eight years ago I thought that Jake being a youth pastor meant we would be settled and in a church working in the ministry. It turned out that Jake would not working in the ministry since the right opportunity never seemed to arrive but instead we have had our share of other adventures. We have lived so many places and we have gotten to experience so many different things. I do not think that I would change any aspect of our life. I have been blessed with 3 beautiful children who are the joy of my life. A loving husband who I love today more than ever. I also have been blessed with many many wonderful friends spread out all over the world. I have had a chance to study and to work in professions that I truly love. Both Jake and I have been given the chance to spend a lot of time with our kids since they have been born. At every point in their life either Jake or I have been home with them atleast part time. We have gone to school plays, girl scout meetings, christmas plays and little league games. So I have to thank God for all the blessing! I might not be rich and financially we definetely struggle sometimes but I think that the riches in our life can not be measured with money. Instead it is all the smiles, all the giggles, all the learning experiences, people and places have made these last eight years all the I could ever hope for and more. Once again THANK YOU LORD for it all!!!
