I have the nagging feeling that I am not going to be as ready as I want to be by Christmas. We had Samantha's birthday party last weekend and it took all of my energy. It was kind of an extended two day party (party and sleepover). This week I have the flu, I have had a fever of 103 and have been pretty much unconcious in the bed for 2 days. Jake has been working over time because of hunting season and the kids have been taking care of themselves. Ive has cooked dinner twice this week. They have helped each other with their homework and have tried to take care of me. Jake has been trying to keep up with the pick up and drop off of the kids and trying to keep up with the pets and the housework. Needless to say the house is a wreck, not only are we not ready for Christmas....but the house is so messy right now there is not even space to decorate. We are going to Roanoke this weekend for the Clark extended family Christmas celebration and then we have the last week of school. I have no idea when I am going to decorate the house and get myself ready for Christmas (cards, wrapping, etc..).
I am thinking next weekend maybe I can tackle the house decorating project (I leave stuff up until after three kings day so it should be up still for a while). Christmas cards might not happen this year, we will see.. Pray for pacience, time and that I can get unfrazzle enough to focus on the real reason for the season!
