It has been exactly a week since summer vacation started. It has been extremely busy so far and I feel that there is still so much we have to do. We have gone to the drive-in with the kids. It was a fun treat! We went to a birthday party and on the same day left for Roanoke. It was a whirlwind visit but it was a fun time. We stayed at Matt and Kristy's (which was a great treat for the kids). The kids, Jake and Matt went swimming in the James river and Kristy and I went shopping. Then I got sick and we had to rush on home for a couple of days of rest. We went to the library and had friends over for a playdate on Wednesday. Yesterday we went to two different friend's house (an hour apart) and went swimming in both places. The kids also had tae kwon do yesterday night and passed their yellow test. They are now all yellow belts!
Today the kids have hung around the house and done some arts and crafts while I have worked hard at organizing and cleaning up. There is still a ton to do before company (Crissy and her family) arrive on July 2nd. I am praying for energy to get it all done this summer and still get some rest and relaxation.
