First Fishing Trip

Yesterday we went on our first fishing trip. Jake had done a lot of the preliminary work. He got everyone fishing rod, a tackle box full of supplies and fishing licenses. When Jake got back from work, we headed out to a nice fishing spot he knew of in Hopewell near the James River. The kids had a blast casting off and walking along the rocks. Ive seems to be a natural she can cast off further than anyone else (other than Jake). We did not catch anything and it was super cold out but by the smiles on the kids faces you would not have known it. Next time we are going to a different spot since this one was kind of crowded. The kids are already making plans for when we are going next. We have plans to go fishing and camping sometime this summer. We are all looking forward to it!
