Ivelisse is on the advance math class!

Ivelisse has been placed on PACE math this year. That means that she is doing 2nd grade and 3rd grade math at the same time. She receives 1 hour of 2nd grade math and 40 minutes of 3rd grade math. She took the end of year test (which test all the skills you have to know by the end of 2nd grade). She scored 87% (she knows 87% of the skill for 2n grade). She also took the 3rd grade test which measures all the skills you have to know by the end of 3rd grade and she scored a 44%. She did not get to finish that test because she was absent the second day of testing. She was dissapointed at the 44% but I reminded her she did not get to finish it and it is a 3rd grade test. Also it is expected that at the beginning of the year a 3rd grade will know 20-25% of the skills. Ivelisse knew 44% and she is in 2nd grade. I am so proud of her!
