We had the chance to go to VA Beach with Jake's mom and dad. It was a blast but we had some difficult moments. We got to go on a whale watching trip (even though we did not get to see any whales) and also we went to the aquarium. Samantha got sea sick in the whale watching trip. The kids really enjoyed going swimming in the indoor pool at the hotel. It was a nice chance to get a way and spend time with family.
The one odd things about the kids was the kids behavior. For some unknown reason the kids were not on their best behavior that weekend. They were whinny and difficult and seem to take turns being in a bad mood. They had a long night friday night cause we got lost and then we still went to the pool and did not go to bed until midnight and then Saturday night we stayed up late watching amovie with them. I think they were over excited and over tired all at the same time. It kind of felt like the berenstain bears in "Too much birthday party". Overall thought the kids had a good time and we did too. I just wished we had fewer meltdows. Alas, every weekend can not be perfect. Next time we make sure they get more sleep so they are not falling apart the next day. We still had fun and here are some pictures to prove it.
